2020
On May 9th, Girls toward Leadership organized a virtual event on Everything is not lockdown by Mr. Milad Rajabi, an Afghan motivational speaker in India. As it was lockdown due to Covid19, many people had lost hope and were gloomy, so we organized this as an initial program of us in order to help girls get motivated.
On 31st May, Girls toward Leadership organized a virtual event on why women matter and what is their role in ending violence against them by Ms. Maria Alvanou, a Greek Criminologist Ph.D. It was focusing on how women can contribute to ending violence against women, what are the reasons for violence, and many more.
On June 23rd, Girls toward Leadership held a two-day workshop on Leadership by Mr. Hayatullah Sayeedi. This covered more than 40 young women, teaching them the leadership fundamentals, styles, effective leadership and other related themes on leadership. It was focusing a lot on letting girls know about the effective way of leading in crisis times.
On July 5th, Girls toward Leadership held another webinar on Leadership by Mr. Hamidullah Nadim. This event was focusing on the value of respect in leadership and how respect can affect being a leader.
On July 25th, G2L organized a webinar on Goal setting for young women by Ms. Sara Hatami a life coach from the USA. This event was to let young women know how to set their goals and which goals to set when.
On 17th August, G2L organized a webinar on visualization by Ms. Sara Hatami, a life coach from the USA. She talked about how visualizations work and how it effects having a happy and successful life.
On August 20, Girls toward Leadership held a webinar on the pandemic challenges for women by Ms. Maria Alvanou, a Ph.D. criminologist from Greece. During this session, girls learned about the challenges that women face during the pandemic and what are the ways to eliminate them.
On 15 September, G2L held a webinar on SDGs and how to work for them during quarantine for young women by Mr. Matiullah Rahmaty, a social entrepreneur. He talked about the ways of working for SDGs when it is a pandemic.
On August 20, Girls toward Leadership held a webinar on the pandemic challenges for women by Ms. Maria Alvanou, a Ph.D. criminologist from Greece. During this session, girls learned about the challenges that women face during the pandemic and what are the ways to eliminate them.
On August 31st, G2L organized its first physical program, a dialogue between 3 psychologists on decreasing violence. It covered more than 70 young women, teaching them the factors of violence, ways of ending it, and many more about violence and decreasing it.
On September 3rd, Girls toward Leadership organized another event on the Status of women in Islam by MR. Rahmatullah Nowruz, Islamic scholar and founder of Qamar charity. In this event, more than 50 people learned about the status of women in religion and the ways that our holy religion recommended for decreasing violence in families.
On 20th September, G2L held a debate round on Women, peace, and Covid19 for young women from young women. They learned about debating and debated on the inclusion of women’s voices in the peace process and many more related issues.
2021
On 16 September, Girls toward Leadership organized a full-day workshop on fundamentals of leadership for young women by Mr. Klaus Bar, Director of the Institute of Leadership Development. This event covered more than 30 young women teaching them the foundations of leadership, styles, effective leadership, and many more related issues.
